Next week, March 4th-6th, is Read Across America. Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading. One of the fun ways we will celebrate at West this year is with Dress up days. See the flyer below to check what each day's theme is.

K-5 students do not attend school
6-12 students attend school as usual
Next week: Parent-Teacher Conferences
Thursday, 3/7
K-5 students do not attend school (Parent Conferences all day)
6-12 students attend school as usual (Parent Conference in the evening)
Friday, 3/8
K-12 students do not attend school (Parent Conference in the morning)

Veterans Day, formerly Armistice Day, was initially set as a U.S. legal holiday to honor the end of World War I, which officially took place on November 11, 1918. In 1938, through an act of Congress, November 11th was made a legal holiday.
Today, we honor all who served in our armed forces and say thank you.
