UVA’s Summer Camps are a great opportunity for your young artist to explore all corners of their imagination, learn new skills, and have fun this summer. From clay and music to mixed media opportunities, printmaking, and more, these camps provide enriching arts education experiences that your young artist will love! Busy summer of facility work at Sutherlin Middle and High School. These projects are grant funded and are important steps to improving safety, increasing capacity for our welding program, and updating an aging track surface. We appreciate the efforts of the work crews to complete this work over the summer. Our middle school is getting a seismic retrofit, making classrooms safer for students and staff. Our metal shop is expanding in size, safety, and opportunities for student learning. The track, which SMS, SHS, and UCC use, will be resurfaced. All projects are underway and making great progress.

Summer Meals are served Monday-Thursday, June 19-July 27 at West Intermediate to any youth under the age of 18. Breakfast is from 7:30-8:00, and lunch is from 11:30-12:00- food needs to be consumed on-site.

The first-grade classes had fun this week exploring Rigamajigs. Rigamajigs inspire kids to follow their curiosity through collaboration, creativity, and open-ended play.

Congratulations to our SHS band students- they have the highest combined GPA in the State, with a 3.88! That is impressive, and we are so proud of all the hard work and dedication shown by these band students! All our other spring sports were also academic all-state- Go Bulldogs!
